The purpose of MyNeighbourhood.info is to help residents of the West Midlands understand the level of crime in their local neighbourhood and to provide reassurance.

MyNeighbourhood.info is intended for use by the general public and any other use is outside of the intended usage of the site.

The data used in this site is taken from the West Midlands Police CRIMES database, and contains all crime reported to and recorded by West Midlands Police. This site does not use information from the British Crime Survey or any other surveys. It does not contain any crimes recorded by the British Transport Police (BTP).

This site has been developed by West Midlands Police in conjunction with Dotted Eyes Ltd.

Please note that whilst every effort is made to record the details of crime and its location as accurately as possible, there are occasions when the exact location is unknown. In these instances, MyNeighbourhood.info allocates those crimes to a general location along the street in which the crime is thought to have occurred.

West Midlands Police accepts no responsibility nor makes any warranty, representation or guarantee as to the content, accuracy or completeness of any of the data.

West Midlands Police is not liable to users of this data for any loss or damage arising from the use, operation or modification of the data.

Crime Reporting

This site cannot be used for reporting crime. All crimes should be reported directly to West Midlands Police either by:

  • IN AN EMERGENCY dial 999 and ask for the police
  • For general enquires or non-emergency situations, please dial 0845 113 5000
  • Visiting your local police station.

Privacy Policy

When searching for your neighbourhood, the information you enter (e.g. postcode, street name or neighbourhood name) is not kept by the site or West Midlands Police.

MyNeighbourhood.info automatically records details about your visit to this site, which is aggregated (to ensure details cannot be traced to individual users) and only used to monitor the usage of our website and improve the service provided.
